Initiating a property rental and transferring your account to a renter’s name requires completing the Tenant Agreement form. This form captures owner information and is a one-time submission, remaining on file for subsequent renters. Be aware that renters are not authorized to make account changes. It’s essential that the owner or Property Manager notifies us of any renter move-ins or move-outs. Remember, water and sewer bills are always tied to the property, and you, as the owner, are ultimately responsible for them.

For water leaks on the customer’s property, the District offers a leak adjustment. It’s important to note that this adjustment will not reduce your bill to its usual amount. You will still be required to pay the wholesale rate of the water that was used.

Keep Fats, Oils & Grease (F.O.G.) Out of Your Drain
When fats, oils, and grease (FOG) get washed down your sink, they can cause serious issues in the sewer system. Every little bit adds up, and when it congeals, it can cause your sink to clog up, sewer to back up inside your home, and worst case, raw sewage to overflow from the sewer system—a serious public heath risk.
Here's How to Avoid It:
-
Never pour fats, oils, and grease down your sink drain, toilet, or garbage disposal unit. There’s no such thing as enough soap to get it through the system... eventually all fats, oils and grease wind up somewhere.

-
Pour excess fat, oil, and grease into an empty soup can, refrigerate or freeze until solid, and dispose it in your garbage. Or put the pan into your freezer to harden the FOG, then scrape it directly into the garbage.

-
When doing dishes, wipe excess grease from pots, pans, and utensils with paper towels first, and toss those into your garbage can.
