About Us
Serving Our Community Since 1937
Founded in 1937, Olympic View Water and Sewer District currently serves approximately 15,000 people within the City of Edmonds, Town of Woodway, and un-incorporated Snohomish County (Esperance), Washington, encompassing a roughly 2 square mile area.
As a special purpose utility district, we operate independently from these cities, despite the City of Edmonds and the Town of Woodway gradually expanding throughout our service area over the years.
As a public utility authorized under RCW Title 57 (sewer and water districts), the District is governed by a three member Board of Commissioners elected by the voters in our service area. Our staff includes civil engineers, accountants, operations personnel, and administrative staff, all overseen by a District Manager.

Our Mission: to provide safe and reliable water and sewer service at a reasonable cost while being responsive to the needs of the customer.

What We Do
Olympic View Water & Sewer District focuses exclusively on water and sewer service 365 days a year. We monitor water quality, maintain reliable service, ensure adequate fire flow and infrastructure requirements for new developments, and work with the local community on everything from planning and permitting, to updating their appliances with water-saving units.
Your water and sewer infrastructure is likewise meticulously managed: we continuously monitor the condition of all pipes, pump stations, supply stations, and reservoirs, replacing older or undersized pipes and adding new pipes and related infrastructure as needed. When emergencies arise (such as a broken water main), we’re the ones to call to get the job handled.
